Easy 30-day returns on all products

At Cotton Baby, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If something isn't right, we're here to help. Our hassle-free return policy makes it easy to return or exchange items within 30 days.

Return Window

You may return items within 30 days of the day you receive your order. The return period starts on the delivery/receipt date, not the purchase date.

Important: Please contact us before returning any items to receive return authorization and instructions. Returns sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following conditions:

  • Items must be unused, unwashed, and unworn
  • Items must be in their original packaging with all tags attached
  • You must provide proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt)
  • Items must be in the same condition as when you received them

This does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty or not as described.

Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on the following items:

  • Underwear and swimwear (unless faulty or not as described)
  • Personalised or custom-made items
  • Gift cards and vouchers
  • Sale items marked as "Final Sale"
  • Items without tags or in worn/washed condition

If you receive a faulty item from any of the above categories, please contact us immediately and we will arrange a replacement or refund.

Faulty or Incorrect Items

If an item is faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered, please contact us within 30 days of receipt at support@cottonbaby.store.

What we'll do:

  • Cover all reasonable return postage costs
  • Offer a full refund, replacement, or repair (your choice)
  • Arrange collection if the item is too large or heavy to post
  • Process your refund or replacement as quickly as possible

Please note: We may request photos of faulty or damaged items to help us improve our quality control and prevent future issues.

Important: We recommend using a tracked service and keeping proof of postage.

⚠️ Important: Items sent back to us without first requesting a return authorization will not be accepted and may be returned to you at your expense.

Return Postage Costs

Standard Returns

Unless the item is faulty or not as described, you are responsible for return postage costs. Original delivery charges are non-refundable except where:

  • You cancel under your statutory right to cancel (see below)
  • We made an error (wrong item, faulty item, etc.)
  • The item is significantly not as described

Faulty or Incorrect Items

If your item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, we will cover all reasonable return postage costs. We may provide a prepaid return label or reimburse your postage costs upon receipt of the return.

Free UK Returns

We offer free return postage for all standard returns within the UK. Simply request a return label when you contact us, and we'll email it to you.

Refunds

Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll email you to confirm receipt and let you know if the refund was approved or not.

If approved, refunds are processed as follows:

  • Refund issued to your original payment method
  • Processing time: within 14 days of receiving the goods back OR within 14 days of you providing evidence of having sent them back (whichever is earlier)
  • Bank processing time: Allow up to 10 business days for your bank to show the funds
  • You'll receive an email confirmation when the refund is processed

Refund Amount

Your refund will include:

  • The full purchase price of the returned item(s)
  • Original standard shipping costs (if you exercised your right to cancel or received a faulty item)

Refunds do not include:

  • Return postage costs (unless the item is faulty or incorrect)
  • Express or premium shipping costs (only standard shipping is refundable)

Delayed Refunds

If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return and you still haven't received your refund, please:

  • Check with your bank or credit card company (processing can take time)
  • Contact your bank's customer service
  • If you've done both and still haven't received your refund, contact us at support@cottonbaby.store

Exchanges

We want to process your exchange as quickly as possible. The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to:

  • Return the item you have for a refund (following the return process above)
  • Once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item

This ensures you receive your new item as quickly as possible without waiting for the return to be processed.

Need a different size or colour? Place a new order for the correct item and return the original for a full refund.

Your Right to Cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations)

Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have a legal right to cancel your online order within 14 days from the day after you receive the goods, without giving any reason.

How to Exercise Your Right to Cancel

  • Email support@cottonbaby.store with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel
  • You then have 14 days to return the goods
  • We will refund all payments received from you, including our standard delivery cost
  • Refund will be processed within 14 days of receiving the goods back
  • You are responsible for return postage when exercising your right to cancel

Damaged or Missing Items in Transit

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If items are damaged or missing:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Provide photos of the damaged packaging and items
  • Keep all packaging and items until the issue is resolved
  • We'll arrange a replacement or refund immediately

We work with reliable couriers, but sometimes things go wrong in transit. We'll always make it right.

Partial Returns

If you ordered multiple items and only want to return some of them, that's absolutely fine. Simply specify which items you'd like to return when you contact us, and we'll provide instructions for returning just those items.

Gift Returns

If you received an item as a gift and would like to return it:

  • Contact us with the gift receipt or order number (if available)
  • We'll issue a refund to the original purchaser or provide store credit
  • All other return conditions apply (unworn, with tags, etc.)
